General Terms
Welcome to Aepril. These terms and conditions apply to the use of our website, the placement of orders, and all services and products we provide. By visiting our website or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
Please read these terms carefully before using our site. If you do not agree with (part of) these terms, you are requested not to use our website or services.
1. General
- Aepril offers its website, products, and services on the condition that you accept these terms.
- We reserve the right to refuse access or service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.
- The content of our website may be changed without prior notice. You are responsible for checking regularly whether these terms have been updated.
2. Age and use
- By agreeing to these terms, you declare that you are at least the age of majority in your country or region, or that you have parental/guardian consent.
- You may not use our products or services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- You may not transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code through our website or services. Violation may result in immediate termination of our services.
3. Products, services, and prices
- Aepril products and services are displayed as accurately as possible, but colors and details may differ depending on your screen.
- We reserve the right to:
- Offer certain products or services only in limited quantities;
- Refuse or limit sales to certain persons, regions, or countries;
- Change or discontinue products or prices at any time.
- All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT (where applicable). Shipping costs are calculated separately and shown during checkout.
- For international orders outside the EU, additional costs may apply, such as import duties or customs charges. These costs are always the responsibility of the customer. Aepril has no influence over these charges and cannot provide prior information about them.
4. Orders and payments
- Aepril reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders, even after confirmation. This may occur, for example, when multiple orders are placed from the same account, using the same payment method, or to the same address.
- In the event of cancellation or change, we will contact you via the email address or phone number provided at the time of the order.
- You are responsible for providing correct, complete, and up-to-date payment and shipping details.
For available payment options, please refer to our Payment page. All payments are processed via secure connections.
5. Shipping and delivery
- Information about delivery times and shipping options can be found on our Shipping page.
- Once your order has been handed over to the chosen carrier (e.g., PostNL, DHL), the carrier is responsible for any delays or errors during transport.
- Aepril bears the risk of loss or damage to products until they have been received by you or a third party designated by you.
- If products arrive damaged in the original packaging, Aepril is responsible. Once the packaging is opened or the label removed, responsibility lies with the customer.
- If you provided an incorrect or incomplete address, you are responsible for any failed delivery.
- If an order does not arrive or is delivered incorrectly, please contact us immediately. We will investigate the issue and, if necessary, send a replacement product or refund the order.
6. Right of withdrawal and returns
- Consumers in the EU/UK have the legal right to a 14-day cooling-off period starting from the day of receipt, unless exceptions apply (e.g., custom-made products or items that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons).
- Return requests must be submitted via our Return page.
- Any return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise specified.
- More details can be found in our Return and Refund Policy.
7. Warranty
- All products purchased at Aepril come with the statutory warranty of 2 years. This means that a product must function properly during normal use.
- Warranty only covers manufacturing or material defects that occur during normal intended use.
- Warranty does not cover, including but not limited to:
- Normal wear and aging of products (e.g., scratches, discoloration, reduced battery capacity).
- Damage caused by incorrect or careless use, mishandling, dropping, impact, or water damage.
- Damage caused by improper maintenance, washing, or cleaning contrary to instructions.
- Incorrect assembly or installation carried out by the customer.
- Modifications or repairs by third parties without written approval from Aepril.
- Use outside the intended purpose (e.g., professional use of consumer products).
- Products no longer in original condition or with removed labels/seals (unless necessary for inspection and the defect was not caused by this).
- Notification requirement: Defects must be reported as soon as possible, but no later than 2 months after discovery of the defect, in writing to Aepril.
- Burden of proof:
- Within the first 6 months after purchase, it is presumed that the defect already existed at delivery, unless Aepril proves otherwise.
- After this period, the burden of proof lies with the customer to show that the defect existed at delivery.
- Remedy at Aepril’s discretion: For a valid warranty claim, Aepril will decide whether the product is repaired, replaced, or (partially) refunded. The customer cannot demand a specific solution.
- To assess a warranty claim, Aepril may request photos, a clear description of the issue, proof of purchase, and—where relevant—proof that the product was used according to the instructions (e.g., washing instructions).
- These warranty provisions do not affect any statutory consumer rights.
